    the story of Fernet Branca in the U.S. is pretty amazing. SF is definitely the top city today but it used to be EVERYWHERE (until the 80s when the FDA shut it down because it was still sold as medicine… incredible!).

    My favorite serving is shaken with ice and strained. Great stuff…

      Here it’s just about always taken with a shot of ginger ale on the side. In fact, if you don’t order it that way, 9 times out of 10 the bartender will ask if you want a ginger back. Would love to find out how that custom came about!
